Boy injured seriously by CRPF action in Bejbehara

A youth was critically injured when CRPF personnel allegedly opened fire and used tear gas shells on protesters in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir. The youth was identified as Naseer Ahmed Dar of Zirpora Bijbehara. “The boy was hit by a shell on his head,” reports said. He has been, reportedly, referred to Srinagar in a critical condition. Telecom companies leave Bandipora roads damaged

The roads here in Bandipora maintained by Border Roads Organization (BRO) have been severely damaged by the telecom companies leading to traffic jams and increasing the risk of mishaps. Local residents alleged that BRO has failed to take action against the telecom companies which have dug roads to lay the cables and have left them unrepaired. Many areas in higher reaches of Kashmir Valley on Monday received fresh snowfall while the plains, including Srinagar, experienced rains, with the Meteorological Department here predicting more showers over the next two days.
