Police fired tear and pepper gas shells on mourners in Batengo village who were gathered to take part in funeral prayers of Zahid Rasool Bhat in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Sunday. Massive anti-police protests hit Habba Kadal

Massive protests broke out in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar, on Saturday against the detention of youth, reports said. The protesters also alleged that police and forces damaged property during raids. The protesters told reporters that the troops had detained several youth from the locality, last night. “They also smashed windowpanes of several houses and vehicles,” they added.
