Govt policies strengthening separatism: Panun Kashmir

Panun Kashmir, a frontal organisation of displaced Pandits, has alleged that the policies of the PDP-BJP coalition government were strengthening separatism in J&K while the recent dialogue process initiated by the Centre had sidelined nationalist segments.
Addressing a press conference Panun Kashmir chairman Ajay Chrungoo and convener Agnishekhar claimed that the dialogue process started by the Centre-appointed special representative, Dineshwar Sharma, will eventually promote the interests of radical fundamentalism.
“If the dialogue process is based on same promises and political motivations as guided by the previous team of interlocutors led by Dileep Padgoankar or the Working Group on Centre-State relations led by late Justice Sageer Ahmed, we will witness further decline in the promotion of nationalist interests in the state,” he claimed.
Panun Kashmir leaders said the Centre should realise that autonomy politics in the state, right since accession of J&K had been a protracted campaign to promote secessionism. “Autonomy, self-rule and independence demand raised in the Valley has the ultimate aim to promote the anti-national ideology,” Agnishekhar alleged.
The Pandit organisation has also expressed dismay over the way special representative Dineshwar Sharma invited the delegations. “There was a spirit of carelessness, disrespect and disdain amply manifest when the state government sent unspecified invitation letters without even underlining the agenda of interaction,” they alleged.
Blaming mainstream parties in Kashmir for promoting anti-India sentiments, Pandits alleged that National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party had always promoted soft separatism in the state.
Panun Kashmir has once again reiterated the demand for creation of a Union Territory of Panun Kashmir on the north and east of the Jhelum in Kashmir to resettle the minority Hindus.
