The joint resistance has urged people in districts of central Kashmir; Ganderbal, Budgam and Srinagar to organize ‘Freedom march” towards to Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar, Rambagh, Baghat and Sanat Nagar—which have not witnessed strict restrictions in past over two months.

Pertinently, areas like Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar, Rambagh, Baghat and Sanat Nagar have remained peaceful during the ongoing unrest and witnessed considerable movement of private transport.
Recently, Hurriyat (G) had taken strong note of opening of some shops in these areas amid shutdown.
“Hurriyat clarifies that inspite of the whole populace drenched in blood and everything including economy and education at stake, some egoistic and self centered rogues and knaves continue to feed their bellies by humiliating the sacred blood of our martyrs. They include some shopkeepers in Sanat Nagar, Rajbagh, Jawahar Nagar and Bank employees especially corporate and branch offices of J&K Bank and some other Indian banks,” the Hurriyat spokesperson had stated in a statement.

However, officials said all arrangements have been put in place to foil the protest march to these areas.
“The roads leading to these areas will be blocked to prevent the protest march,” a police official said.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Srinagar on consecutive 75th day.
Offices, shops, educational institutions and petrol pumps remained closed and public transport also remained off the roads.
Curfew remained in force in several areas of Shaher-e-Khaas, falling under the jurisdiction of three police stations.
“Curfew continued in Nowhatta, M R Gunj and Khanyar police station areas of the summer capital today,” said an official.
The official said that restrictions on the assembly of people under section 144 CrPC continued to remain in force in the Srinagar.
As compared to past three days, the movement of private transport increased at Rajbagh, TRC, Dalgate and MA Road. Traffic cops were seen regulating the traffic on these roads.
Good number of private transport also plied on Residency Road.
