“Kashmiris are a prime and important party to this dispute and it can’t be solved by ignoring the sacrifices and opinion of the people of the region,” the resolution reads. It appealed people to respect the sacred blood of martyrs and show a united face and determination “against the Indian oppression.”
Terming the establishment of Sainik and Pandit colonies as a well-planned conspiracy against the Kashmiri people and the Muslim identity of the state, the resolution said “India is leaving no stone unturned to project the freedom struggle of Kashmir as a communal issue but these plans will not be allowed to succeed here.”
Condemning arrests, crackdowns, killings, harassment and restrictions on political activities of pro-freedom people by the government, the resolution read: “The government has completely banned freedom of expression in the state and turned it into a jail.”
