The militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET), on Saturday asked people to follow the programmes of joint resistance leadership (Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik) in letter and spirit.
In a statement the LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi while quoting the chief commander of the outfit Mehmood Shah said, “We respect the aspirations of Kashmiri people. We want to inform them that LeT only issues statements through newspapers and news agencies.”
He said a few people are trying to defame the Kashmir struggle by issuing fictitious statements on LeT’s name.
“These vested interests are issuing fictitious statements to create confusion among the people,” Shah added.
Shah also thanked the people of Kashmir for remaining steadfast on their resolve despite facing immense hardships.
Mehmood Shah while praising doctors said, “Doctors are the abode of humanity and they have played a vital role in this hour of grief. At a time when Delhi is employing tactics like economic blockade, doctors are the only angels in hospitals who help the pain stricken Kashmiris.”
“People who harass these doctors will be dealt with sternly,” Shah added.
The LeT Chief asked the people to make the hartal calls successful and follow the programmes issued by joint resistance leadership religiously.
“Informers should refrain from their tactics otherwise people would drag them out from their houses and teach them a lesson,” he warned.
