Flood Alert sounded in Kashmir Valley

A flood alert was on Wednesday sounded in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag, Pulwama and Srinagar districts as Jhelum River crossed the danger mark. Amid the ongoing beef controversy, the J&K Government on Tuesday sacked Additional Advocate General, Jammu, Vishal Sharma and Deputy Advocate General, Jammu, Parimoksh Seth. Last year’s devastating flood in Kashmir valley has been listed as world’s worst economical disaster in 2014. Cash-strapped J-K enhances ‘durbar’ shift allowance by 50%

State exchequer to bear additional burden of Rs 7 crore annually The cash-strapped state of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to enhance the shifting allowance of Durbar Move employees from the existing Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 to give benefit to over 7,000 employees.
