Directs officers to act tough against defaulters
Commissioner Secretary Power Development Department (PDD), Dheeraj Gupta today reviewed Power scenario in Kashmir Division.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police Syed Javid Gilani, Development Commissioner Power Gul Ayaz and Chief Engineer EM & RC Bashir Ahmad Khan.
Dheeraj Gupta while reviewing the preparedness of the department during winters asked the officers to ensure repair and replacement of damaged transformers as soon as possible so that people do not face any inconvenience.
The Commissioner Secretary also asked the officers to act tough against power theft and defaulters. “We are forced to go for load shedding due to unethical practices, which needs to be checked immediately to augment power supply ,”he stressed .
The officers also discussed the problems faced by the field staff during inspections, disconnections and revenue realization. IG Police assured the department of every help to tackle the law and order problems in such situations.
Gupta further asked the officers to strengthen the grievance cell of the department to resolve the grievances of the public and also asked them to take note of the issues of public importance raised by the media.
