Taking serious note of violation of blanket ban on imparting private tuitions by government teachers, Chief Education officer, Rajouri, C Altaf Hussain today raided some private institutions here and placed an erring official under suspension.
Gulbatan Singh, a government middle school teacher at Kardinoo in the Baljaralan Education Zone, was found teaching students in SR College.
Director, School Education, Jammu, vide order No DSEJ/Gen/ 32642-43 dt26/10/15, has banned the private tuitions by the government teachers and has directed all the Chief Education Officers concerned to implement the order in latter and spirit.
Despite strict directions to the headmasters, principals and Zonal Education Officers, some teachers continue to teach in private institutions/tuition centres.
The CEO along with Head of Department at the DIET Srinagesh Sharma paid a surprise visit to SR College at 10 am and placed the erring teacher under suspension.
The CEO directed the ZEO, Baljaralan, to charge sheet the erring teacher and furnish a report to the CEO’s office for further action.
