Jammu 21 Jan: In a brazen act of violence, a 37-year-old gangster was shot dead by members of a rival gang in broad daylight in Jammu. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Jewel Chowk, a busy market area, sending shockwaves through the community.

The victim, identified as Sumit Jandiyal, also known as Gataru, was intercepted by three assailants while he was walking through the marketplace. The attackers fired four rounds at Jandiyal, critically injuring him. Passersby, in a state of panic, immediately alerted the authorities. Jandiyal was swiftly transported to the Government Medical College hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on arrival.
