GoI creating shadow IS to flex muscle in Kashmir: Aga Ruhullah

‘Ideologies and people like Zakir Musa created after meeting Mosad’

Government of India (GoI) is creating a shadow Islamic State to flex its muscle in Kashmir, opposition National Conference (NC) leader Aga Ruhullah said Tuesday.
Speaking at a programme ‘J&K – The Road Ahead’ organised by Centre for Peace and Progress (CPP, Ruhullah said, “New Delhi is trying to create a shadow Islamic State to create an excuse for flexing its muscle.”
He said this was being done to create ideologies and people like the former Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Zakir Musa.
Musa had made headlines for his audio statement, “I am warning all those hypocrite Hurriyat leaders that they must not interfere in our Islamic struggle and if they do, we will cut their heads and hang them in Lal Chowk.”
Ruhullah, who is also the Member of the Legislative Assembly from central Kashmir’s Budgam district, said after consulting the Mossad chief, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had made the remark that the BJP-led government at New Delhi would find a “permanent solution” to the Kashmir problem.
He said it was after consulting the Mossad chief, Yossi Cohen that Singh had said, “Kashmir is ours, Kashmiris are ours and Kashmiriyat is also ours.”
Trying to connect the dots between Singh’s statement and Zakir Musa’s statement, Ruhullah said, “Musa’s statement came after Rajnath Singh’s and Mossad chief’s discussion.”
The NC leader accused New Delhi of conducting experimentation in Kashmir in consultation with Tel Aviv and behaving like Israel.
Blaming the Indian state of failing the mainstream politicians and political parties in Jammu Kashmir, Ruhullah said, “We are paying for their failure and today we stand nowhere not because of Kashmir or Pakistan but because of the Indian state, which is both egoist and ignorant and because of their misadventures, tomorrow we can see Islamic State in Kashmir.”
He said not only the Hurriyat leadership, New Delhi had also lost the mainstream parties and the mainstream parties had lost their own credentials because of New Delhi.
“You expect us to be Sufis and saints when you are becoming Sangis and the India is becoming RSSised,” the NC leader said. “Army in Kashmir is doing what Sangis are doing in Bihar by lynching Muslims.”
Presenting the autonomy resolution to the former union minister, Mani Shankar Aiyar, he said, “We passed this (autonomy) resolution and you (New Delhi) rejected it straightway.”
Ruhullah said today violence in Kashmir was on the rise from the side of Government of India and armed forces while State government was only acting as a mute spectator.
“Today, there is no state in south Kashmir,” he said referring to the absence of government’s writ in the region.
