BJP legislators were against alliance with PDP: Hari Om

Says the saffron party needs to adhere to its ideology
BJP legislators were against alliance with PDP - Hari OmA day after Prof Hari Om was served show cause notice for his remarks on the PDP-BJP coalition, the BJP ideologue said majority of the party MLAs were against the alliance with the PDP and wanted to “pull out of the government” over “inadequate share”.
In a letter to the state BJP president Jugal Kishore Sharma, Prof Hari Om disclosed that during a high-level meeting held in Jammu soon after the formation of the government, the state leadership of the party had expressed their concerns over “less representation” in the Cabinet.
Prof Hari Om, meanwhile, reiterated his stance against the government while responding to the notice. “As far as my stand on the coalition is concerned, I have repeatedly said the PDP formed the government with the BJP to discredit it and render it ineffective in the Jammu region,” he said.
Prof Hari Om, who has also served as the political advisory to state BJP president, said the party needed to “adhere to its ideology”. “I will not reflect on the circumstances under which the party decided not to release the election manifesto for the 2014 Assembly elections in the state. But the printed election manifesto was not released in the larger interest of the party, which I have been serving to the best of my ability and capacity since years now.”
He claimed that it was he who propagated the party’s ideology and programmes to the extent that the party rendered the Kashmir-based political groups, including the National Conference and the PDP, clueless.
On charges of working against the party, Prof Hari Om stated that he had always worked for the interests of BJP in J&K.
