Out of power, NC talks about Azadi: BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)  Tuesday asked former Chief Minister and National Conference working President Omar Abdullah not to worry about Indo-Pak talks and “mind his own business”.

Out of power, NC talks about Azadi - BJPReacting to Omar’s tweet whether India was made to talk Kashmir at NSA level talks held in Honkong, BJP Spokesman Khalid Jehangir in his statement here said, “The Government of India is not accountable to Omar Abdullah. He is no one to ask what transpired during NSA level talks.”

The BJP spokesman said, “As far as Indo-Pak dialogue is concerned India doesn’t need any suggestions or advices. The NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear to Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and Kashmir won’t be discussed. Pakistan has realized that it cannot keep on harping about Kashmir if it wants to improve the relations with India.”
Jehangir said, “After being ousted from power, Omar has developed a habit of poking his nose in all the matters and he believes sensitive issues like Indo-Pak talks can be discussed on twitter.”

The BJP spokesman said, “Omar should first set his house in order and then give sermons and seek answers. Since the day NC has lost power a few of its leaders have started talking about Azadi and other issues. NC has got a habit of changing its color like a chameleon. When they are in power they talk in a language which suits New Delhi and when they are out of power they try to appease separatists and Pakistan.”
Jehangir said, “People have understood their tricks and don’t get carried away by their rhetoric anymore. Masses have understood that National Conference and its leaders can go to any extent for the sake of power that’s why they don’t take them seriously anymore.”
