Syed Salahuddin's son, among four JK employees dismissed from service

The Jammu and Kashmir Administration on Saturday sacked its four employees, including son of Syed Salahuddin, the chief of banned Hizbul Mujahideen, and the wife of terror-funding accused Bitta Karate, officials said. All the four employees were dismissed from service under Article 311 of the Constitution which enables the government to sack its employees without an inquiry. Farooq Ahmed Dar, alias Bitta Karate, is currently in judicial custody in terror-funding cases, officials said. The heat wave continued to grip Kashmir on Tuesday while Meteorological Department (MeT) has predicted rains from Wednesday for four days across Jammu and Kashmir. MeT officials said that Kashmir recorded a maximum of 33.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday while winter capital Jammu recorded 36.3 degrees Celsius. Kashmir has been witnessing heat wave since June. Terrorists shot at and injured a policeman in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said. The attack on Constable Firdous Ahmad took place at his Hugam area home around 7.30 pm in Srigufwara of the south Kashmir district, they said. The officials said the injured cop was rushed to the Srigufwara hospital, from where he was referred to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital here.
