There seems to be no end to attacks on innocent Kashmiris are are continuing after the Pulwama attack, in which 49 CRPF personnel were killed. In the latest incident, a Kashmiri student residing in Bengaluru was brutally attacked by four men. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. 24-year-old Absar Zahoor Dhar was assaulted by youths in AECS Layout near HAL in southeast Bengaluru.
The victim who is studying civil engineering suffered grave injuries to his hand, head and face. Reportedly, the victim does modelling to fund his career and had no idea why he was attacked. Ever since over 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred in Pulwama terror attack on February 14, acts of violence against Kashmiris have been on the rise.
Earlier this month, two Kashmiri vendors were thrashed by right-wing extremist goons in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. However, in Dhar’s case the police said that the assault had nothing to do with the Pulwama terror tragedy.
They also ruled out any outside animosity in relation to Dhar, Deccan Herald reported.
Based on his complaint, the HAL police arrested the accused identified as 25-year-old Nithin, 21-year-old Manjesh, 26-year-old Gautham, and 20-year-old Abhi alias Santhosh, all residents of Kundalahalli Colony.
