Criticising separatist leaders, senior BJP MLC, Ashok Khajuria Wednesday said Jammu and Kashmir will be turned into a graveyard for those seeking Azadi from India and supporting Pakistan.
Speaking during a discussion on GST in the upper house of legislature, the BJP member said separatists had ruined four generations in J&K for their “petty politics”.
“We will not allow anyone to ruin the future of our next generations. Separatists have done enough damage to our kids. Now it is time for them to mend their ways. If they don’t change their stance, we will make situation worst for them,” Khajuria said.
“We will turn J&K into a graveyard for those who seek Azadi from India and support Pakistan on our soil,” he said.
BJP legislator said Sheikh Abdullah and Jawaharlal Nehru had also ruined Kashmir before the separatists.
“Our government will not allow the vested interests to succeed and take reform measures like GST hostage,” he said.
Earlier, opposition members created pandemonium in Legislative Council and staged walkout from the House accusing the Chairman of discrimination during the discussion on GST.
They were also infuriated over the abusive language used by PDP and BJP legislators against them a day early.
Some of them sought apologies from the legislators of ruling parties and staged walkout.
MLCs GN Monga and Ali Muhammad Dar accused government of failure in creating consensus over implementation of GST in the state.
They expressed dissatisfaction over government’s reply to their apprehensions.
“The government is misleading the house by providing inadequate and irrelevant information,” they alleged.
They also accused the government of being callous towards safeguarding special status to J&K.
Later, members held a sit-in outside assembly premises amidst raising of anti-government slogans.
