National Conference (NC) provincial president Devender Singh Rana has assailed the PDP-BJP coalition for sowing seeds of discord and perpetrating polarisation by bringing regions and communities eyeball to eyeball as per their sinister strategy.
“There is a huge contradiction between words and actions of the coalition partners,” Rana said on Monday. He was addressing NC provincial vice-presidents and district presidents of Jammu province.
He referred to the deceptive posturing of the alliance partners. He said they claimed to unite the regions and bridge the gap between different segments of society, but had unleashed their respective cadres to promote division in the state on regional and religious lines.
Rana cautioned the coalition against undermining the sagacity of people, who were capable of reading between the lines. He said the NC would fight the divisive elements and not allow their sinister machinations to succeed.
“It is a dispensation of sorts, which itself rejects the first spell of (mis)governance as abject failure and instead of learning lessons, continues to be nonchalant,” he said.
