Rejecting the Supreme Court ruling on SARFAESI Act, Kashmir’s joint resistance leadership on Sunday said Jammu and Kashmir is a “separate, independent and sovereign entity.”
“Taking undue advantage of the autocratic ruler and the suspicious Instrument of Accession, India forcibly landed its army to take control of J&K and we as a nation are fighting this aggression for the past seven decades. Imperialistic mindset has time and again taken over the mind and soul of a few stooges to strengthen and legalize this rule,” a joint statement by senior resistance leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, read.
“Dozens of UN resolutions stand testimony to the fact that Kashmir is a disputed territory, the final dispensation of which is still pending. India’s top leaders themselves knocked the doors of international forums claiming the disputed nature of Kashmir and this can never be faded or denied by the legal proclamations,” the resistance leaders said.
Kashmir, they said, is a “universally-accepted and internationally-legitimized dispute, backed by clear UN resolutions, authenticated by more than six lakh human sacrifices, testified by three full-fledged wars between two neighbouring countries and certified by in-voice promises and pledges by Indian rulers.”
“Presence of UN offices and their white locomotives remind every passerby of Kashmir’s disputed nature. This unresolved issue has consumed our more than three generations and still continues to suck our blood,” they said. “These Himalayan facts and rock-hard realities can’t be brushed aside and denounced by biased judiciary just to satisfy their collective conscience and appease their fascist rulers.”
“If legal luminaries and judicial authorities look into the issue without prejudice and fog of hyper-nationalism, it is more than clear that Jammu and Kashmir is, is and will never be a part of India,” they said.
“Our own legal experts, who have stood their ground in these highest judicial houses for decades, finally mortgaged their soul and mind for power perks, shamelessly support this unjust and unrealistic attitude of the oppressor,” the three leaders said.
Condemning “these henchmen”, the leaders said, “the rulers are inching towards their age-old agenda of “Hindutva” through deceitful propaganda of development.”
“These traitors are hand-in-glove with this fascist class, but our youth sense their rotten ideas and will desist from being cloned in their way.”
The resistance leaders said legal experts will shortly be consulted in this regard.
