Axe Srinagar NIT Management, demands Dinanath BatraShiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas (SSUN), an RSS outfit run by Dinanath Batra, has written to Prime Minister, home minister and HRD minister demanding a high-level inquiry into the events at NIT, Srinagar, immediate sacking of director and registrar, and also action against students who raised anti-India slogans and raised Pakistani flags.

“If immediate action is not taken, anti-national forces will get a fillip and nationalistic forces will be discouraged,” it said.

SSUN also said that anti-national forces appear to have got encouragement after the JNU incident .

It has also asked some questions related to the incident at NIT. One, who called police inside the campus. Two, who gave the permission to lathicharge ‘nationalist’ students. Three, why are ‘nationalist’ students being kept hostage. Four, why is media being barred from entering the campus.

SSUN said that what happened on March 31 at NIT was unacceptable. “Those who raised slogans in favour of India were lathicharged by J&K police and threatened by local students and few faculty members.”

It said that ‘nationalist’ students were not being allowed to put their version in the public domain.
