Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris and only they will decide about its future.
Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar was reacting to recent remarks made by A S Dulat, the former Chief of Indian secret agency, RAW, who had said that Yasin Malik should leave Kashmir and start living in Pakistan.He said that Kashmiris had rendered unparalleled sacrifices for their freedom and would face every hardship and oppression but would never compromise on their freedom, dignity and honour.
The JKLF Chairman strongly condemned the re-arrest of party leader, Zahoor Ahmad Butt, after court quashed his illegal detention under black law Public Safety Act (PSA). He said that the authorities had unleashed a reign of terror against the Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, a JKLF delegation led by its Vice Chairman, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, visited Sopore and expressed solidarity with the family of a youth, Shakir Ahmad, who was recently martyred by Indian troops.
