Tarigami concerned over erratic power supply

Expressing concern over the precarious power situation in Kashmir, CPM leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today said it seemed the administration had “virtually decided to keep the people of Jammu and Kashmir in perpetual darkness”.
Tarigami concerned over erratic power supplyThe CMP legislator said while the people in cities and towns had to face low voltage and erratic power supply, people living in rural and far-flung areas were left without electricity.
At a time when power supplies are needed to cope with cold weather conditions people in far-flung areas are living in darkness, he said.
Referring to the erratic supply in the Valley, Tarigami said: “It is unfortunate that people in Kashmir have to encounter same situation every winter soon after offices move to Jammu.”
People in the Valley have been left helpless in the absence of basic amenities, especially power and essential commodities, said the senior leader.
