HURRIYAT (M)
Strongly condemning the killing of GowharNazir Dar, the 22 yr old student from Mustafabad, Zainakote by the forces, Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Sunday said the PDP BJP policy of ‘Boli say Nahigoli say ‘ is the mantra they have adopted to rule the state and stay in power.

Mirwaiz, who has been under house arrest for the past one week, while paying glowing tributes to the slain student, said Gowhar’s killing had once again punctured the Prime Minister NarendraModi’s balloon of fooling the people by talking to them about  imaginary ideas  of  Jhamooriyat (democracy), Kashmiriyat (Kashmir’s pluralistic traditions) and Insaniyat (humanity).

Terming the Prime Minister NarendraModi’s talk in Srinagar about resolving the problem of Kashmir by providing jobs and employment opportunities to the youth, as “bizarre and fallacious propaganda” Mirwaiz said that such deception would in no way change the reality of the Kashmir issue which Modi and his ilk know very well but want to dodge and not admit.

Hurriyat (M) Chairman said the killing of an innocent student in cold blood even on the day the Prime Minister was in Kashmir, though nothing new for us as we are witnessing such brutality for the past 3 decades, reiterates the   dictatorial and tyrannical attitude of New Delhi and the state government  towards the people of Kashmir especially the youth, whom they want to eliminate.

Mirwaiz said that it is the Kashmiri youth who are spearheading this movement of truth and justice for the past several decades and who are relentlessly striving  for achieving their basic right of self-determination by offering the sacrifices of their life.

Condemning the house arrests of the resistance leaders and arrests and harassment of Hurriyat workers and activists he said imposing undeclared curfew, restrictions and curbs on people to facilitate the pm rally, should serve as an eye opener for the international community as to what the ground reality of Kashmir is.

He thanked people of Kashmir for observing a complete shutdown on the arrival of Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Kashmir and urged the international community to take note of this protest and understand the aspirations of the people behind this protest and shutdown and come forward to play their role in resolving the vexed Kashmir issue.
