Conspiracies being hatched to trifurcate J&K: Civil society

Conspiracies being hatched to trifurcate J&K - Civil societyRidiculing state government for being in slumber to respond to the petition in the Supreme Court challenging incorporation of Article 35A in the Indian Constitution, JK civil society members Saturday asked youth to come together and fight for “designs of RSS which is trying to change the demography of state.”
The members Saturday said dangerous conspiracies are up in arms against the state which can land J&K in trouble. This was stated by members of civil society who participated in a conference organized by Kashmir Centre for Social Development Studies Centre (KCSDSC) on “Designs of RSS and Article 35A.”
Speaking in the conference, Chairperson KCSDSC Hamida Nayeem said RSS and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have initiated conspiracies to bulldoze Kashmir and make it free for whole of India and PDD government is watching as mute spectators.
“A Delhi-based think-tank, J&K Study Center, has filed the petition before the Supreme Court to scrap this article which is an indirect but a legal route to attack the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. RSS is trying different ways to attack article 370 indirectly,” she said.
The chairperson said that Kashmir’s argument on this issue is that it is not an integral part of India and therefore article 35A cannot be scraped unless Kashmir issue is not solved.
She said government has failed to respond strongly on this issue and has taken it on a lighter note.
“Our state government has not even responded to the notice of SC. According to an RSS backed think tank, the Article 35A is in discrimination with other states if India but we must fight back and stick to our argument that we are not like other states of India, nor we are its part,” she added.
Earlier, SC issued a notice to the state government for its response on the petition. However, government is yet to respond on the issue, the civil society members informed the gathering.
Member of KCSDSC Shakeel Qalendar while addressing the conference highlighted historical background of RSS over Kashmir issue. He said RSS policy is a consistent policy since 1928.
On Article 35A, he said majority of people in Kashmir are not satisfied with the advocates who have been given the job to fight the petition.
“The matter is highly sensitive and the case will be heard by Supreme Court so for fighting this case we need highly intellectual and experienced advocates who would save our state from being sold,” he said.
He said government must answer how come people like Bhim Singh, Hari Om and others frequently and openly come up with the idea of trifurcating  the state.
“PDP and BJP had promised people and mentioned it on CMP that article 370 will not be discussed anywhere till the government is in power but recently BJP in Ladakh told people that it will give status of Union territory to Ladakh. These are indications how BJP and RSS is trying to divide us,” he added.
Chairman Kashmir Council for Justice, Advocate Ghulam Nabi Shaheen said that hegemonistic approach of India is becoming very dangerous for Kashmir.
“We are caught in a very peculiar situation and I am a firm believer that we the citizens of J&K have miserably failed to redeem our nationhood. Both NC and PDP are our enemies and we must understand this. Certain narratives are enforced on us and bifurcation of Kashmir is already in process that no one understands,” he added.
He asked youth to come forward and fight back and keep resistance moment on and alive. He asked them to be aware of consequences of scraping article 35A currently under challenge.
Civil Society activist and columnist Abdul Majeed while addressing the issue said that the position of J&K is very bad despite having special status.
“Not only RSS but our own people, our government and those who are in opposition have at times woven plots against special status of Jammu and Kashmir. We have organized this conference to aware young generation about new designs of RSS to attack our status,” he added.
