Separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani today described the 1993 Sopore massacre as a “barbaric and inhuman incident”, saying “anybody with a human heart can never ever forget it”. “Kashmir has hardly witnessed such a barbaric and inhuman incident and not only Kashmir but anybody with a human heart can also never forget it,” Geelani said in a statement recalling the killing of civilians in north Kashmir’s Sopore town in January 1993.
