The city has got some respite from the scorching heat with a sudden downpour here this afternoon after more than 15 days of dry spell. The sudden windstorm and rain made the weather pleasant for residents, who had been facing the severe heat wave with temperature above 40°C. The heat wave conditions in the Jammu region had pushed the maximum temperature in parts of the region to 43°C. It plummeted by four degrees in the last 24 hours.
