Eid-e-Milad celebrations start in Valley

Eid-e-Milad celebrations started in Kashmir valley today with the beginning of ‘Rabi-ul-Awwal’ month of the Islamic calendar. While Eid-e-Milad, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, is observed on the 12th Rabiul-Awwal, devotees regularly throng the Hazratbal Shrine on the banks of the Dal Lake for 12 consecutive days from today.
