Makhdoom Sahib ropeway reopens after 6 months

After being shut for nearly six months, the ropeway at the Sufi Shrine Makhdoom Sahib has been reopened today. The ropeway that was started two years ago on the foothills of the Koh-e-maran in Srinagar old city up to the Sufi Shrine Makhdoom Sahib (RA) was lying closed from May this year giving tough time to devotees. Govt reschedules office, school timings in Kashmir

The Jammu and Kashmir government has rescheduled the office timings in the summer capital here from tomorrow, which would remain in effect till March 31 next year. Working hours in all the government offices, except educational institutions in Kashmir valley shall be from 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM from November 1, as ordered by the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir yesterday, an official spokesman said here today.
