Govt provoking people by arresting youth: KEA

Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) Chairman Haji Mohammed Yasin Khan Thursday expressed concern over the arrest of youth in south Kashmir in the last few days, following protests over death of Zahid, who was burnt in truck by rightwing forces.
Govt provoking people by arresting youth - KEAIn a statement Khan said youth who resorted to protests have been arrested but the Chief Minister forgets that reason behind the protests was the burning down of three innocent Kashmiri youth in a truck on Udhampur highway by RSS agents.
“Instead of crushing the right wing forces sponsored by the RSS, who have unleashed a reign of terror in the state, government is putting Kashmiri youth behind the bars, which will only adds to provocation in the minds of people,” Khan said adding, “Such tactics were unfortunate and against the right to freedom of expression.”
He said it was high time for the Chief Minister to get all the arrested youth released. “If innocent Kashmiri youth deserve to be jailed for having raised voice against the communal forces, why aren’t those people being jailed who brandished guns and swords recently during march on Jammu streets without any permission from the District Magistrate,” Khan said.
He said the people of Kashmir were being unduly targeted and such acts would lead to worsening of the situation.
