Minor among 14 Kashmiri militants on NIA’s most wanted list

A 17-year-old minor boy from Jammu and Kashmir is among the 14 most wanted militants by India’s premier anti-terror force National Investigation Agency (NIA) with a bounty of 10 lakh rupees on his head. In NIA’s wanted list of 80 people across India, 14 are Kashmiri residents as per their addresses mentioned and maintained by NIA. The list also includes Hizbul Mujahideen chief, Syed Salahuddin. Jammu and Kashmir government has started the work to strengthen banks of rivers and streams in the state as part of the flood protection programme, and also remove any encroachment in flood prone areas. At least five persons, including a woman, were injured during protests against the detention of seven youths by the Army in Chuntimulla village of Bandipora district today. 7 Probes ordered in 9 months, but results awaited

In the past nine months, the J&K government has ordered at least seven inquiries into civilian killings in Kashmir which, however, haven’t yielded any results.
