Tell us story about name Nicky Fire ?

My stage name, Nicky Fire, has a very personal meaning behind it. “Nicky comes from my second name, Nicolatte. Since childhood, my friends and family have always called me Nicky as a short version of my name, so it felt natural to carry that part of myself into my music.

The “Fire” represents my personality, my passion, and my strength. I’ve always felt that I have a powerful, energetic spirit — just like fire. Fire represents confidence, transformation, and the ability to stand out, and I feel those qualities describe who I am as an artist and as a person.

The idea actually came from my mom. One day she told me, “Your personality is like fire, so why don’t you make Fire part of your stage name?” I immediately connected with the idea because it truly represented me.

That’s how Nicky Fire was created — a name that combines my identity, my passion, and the powerful energy I bring to my music.

A bit about your childhood?

I was born in Zimbabwe and I’m proudly Zimbabwean, Portuguese, and Mozambican. I had a beautiful childhood surrounded by love, support, and a strong family foundation. My parents played a huge role in shaping who I am today — they raised me with care, values, and encouragement to follow my dreams.

At the age of 13, I moved to Canada as a teenager, which was a major transition in my life. Despite the changes, one thing that remained constant was my love for music. From a young age, music was always a part of who I was. During my primary school years, I joined the choir, where I discovered my passion for performing and expressing myself through music.

As I grew older, that passion evolved into a deeper connection with rap and hip-hop culture. I was inspired by the storytelling, creativity, confidence, and ability of rap music to give people a voice. For me, rap is more than just music — it’s a way to share my experiences, my journey, my culture, and my personality with the world.

In 2024, I made the decision to officially pursue my dream of becoming a recording artist and rapper. I stepped into my career with determination, bringing my unique background, energy, and life experiences into my music. My goal is to inspire others, represent my roots, and create music that connects with people across different cultures and generations.

Your academic journey ?

My academic journey has been a diverse path focused on learning, personal growth, and building skills in the wellness industry. I began my education in Montreal, where I attended both French and English schools and completed my high school education in a bilingual environment.

After completing high school, I developed a passion for health and fitness, which led me to study personal training. I graduated as a personal trainer because I wanted to understand the fitness industry, gain knowledge about the human body, and be able to better support clients in achieving their health and wellness goals.

A few years later, I decided to expand my knowledge into the beauty and spa industry. I attended beauty school, where I earned my qualifications, certificate, and diploma as an esthetician. My goal was to gain a deeper understanding of the spa and wellness industry so that I could eventually open and operate my own spa business.

Both my personal training and esthetics education have shaped my passion for wellness, self-care, and helping others feel confident and empowered. These experiences have given me the knowledge and foundation to build a career and business in the health, beauty, and wellness field.

Your music inspiration?

My music inspiration comes from my journey — my struggles, my victories, my dreams, my family, my friends, and everything I have experienced throughout my life. Every chapter of my story has shaped me as an artist and gives me something meaningful to express through my music.

I have also been inspired by many legendary artists who influenced me growing up. I listened to rappers like LL Cool J, Missy Elliott, Eve, Soulja Boy, Remy Ma, and Trina. Their creativity, confidence, and ability to tell stories through hip-hop inspired me and showed me the power of music.

As I got older, I was introduced to incredible African hip-hop artists like AKA and Stogie T. They really inspired me because they showed me that as an African artist, I could embrace hip-hop while representing where I come from. They helped prove that African rappers can create powerful music, make an impact, and reach audiences globally.

What they did for African hip-hop is truly significant. They helped open doors and showed the world that African artists have a place on the global stage. Their journey inspired me to pursue my own path as a rapper and to use my music to represent my story, my culture, and my dreams.

Your future projects ?

My future projects as a rapper include continuing to create and release more music, with a major focus on developing my upcoming album. I’m currently working on new songs that represent my journey, my experiences, and my vision as an artist. I also plan to produce more high-quality music videos to connect with my fans and bring my stories to life visually.

One of my biggest goals is to continue growing as an artist and, one day, be signed to a major record label that believes in my talent and my vision. I’m working hard toward that dream by building my brand, improving my craft, and creating music that inspires people around the world.

A bit on life goals ?

My goals as an artist are to become one of the biggest and most influential female rappers in the world, while using my music to inspire, empower, and create a positive impact. I want to help change the rap game by bringing authenticity, passion, and a powerful message to the industry.

I want my music to represent my journey, my struggles, my victories, and my dreams, while giving people hope and motivation to believe in themselves. My goal is to create timeless music that connects with people across generations and leaves a legacy that lasts forever.

I aspire to become an international artist who breaks barriers, inspires the next generation of musicians, and proves that women can be powerful forces in hip-hop. I want to build a brand that represents strength, confidence, creativity, and purpose.

My dream is to reach the level of greatness achieved by legendary artists like Michael Jackson — not only through success and recognition, but by touching millions of lives through my talent, dedication, and message. I want my name to be remembered as an artist who changed the culture and made a difference in the world.

Any dream to visit India ?

Absolutely, I would love to visit India one day. I think India is an incredible country with such a rich history, beautiful traditions, amazing food, and a culture that has influenced the world in so many ways. I have a lot of love and respect for Indian people because they are known for their warmth, kindness, hospitality, and strong family values.

I actually used to date an Indian man, so I have had the opportunity to experience and appreciate some aspects of Indian culture personally. I admire the respect, dedication, spirituality, and connection to family that are such important parts of Indian culture.

India is a place I would love to explore, meet more amazing people, experience the traditions, and create beautiful memories there someday.

How is life in usa ?

Life in Canada has been truly amazing, and I am deeply grateful for this beautiful nation. Canada has given me opportunities to chase my dreams, grow as a person, and work toward achieving my goals. I appreciate the diversity, kindness, and freedom that Canada represents, and I feel blessed to be part of such a welcoming country.

Canada is a place where people from different backgrounds can come together, build a future, and create something meaningful. It has allowed me to pursue my passions, build my businesses, and continue working hard on my rap career.

I am thankful for the opportunities Canada has provided me, and I will continue to work hard, inspire others, and make my dreams a reality.

Your message ?

My message to everyone, from the older generation to the younger generations, is to never, ever give up on your dreams. No matter your age, your background, or the challenges you face, always believe in yourself and continue working toward the life you truly desire.

If there is something you have always dreamed of doing or achieving, never let fear, doubt, or obstacles stop you. Believe in your vision, stay focused, and keep moving forward. The Gods and Goddesses are there to guide you, support you, and help you on your journey toward achieving your dreams and manifesting the life you truly want.

I believe in the power of manifestation and the energy we put into our dreams. What you desire already desires you. When you combine faith, determination, positive energy, and action, you can create beautiful opportunities and transform your life.

Never give up on yourself. Keep believing, keep dreaming, and remember that you have the power to achieve the things your heart truly desires.
