RSS Women march in Jammu with swordsHolding swords and batons in hands, around 200 women cadre of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) – the women wing of right wing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) – Monday participated in a “Route March” Jammu.
The march-past (Path Sanchalan in the language of RSS), according to a Sangh spokesperson, is usually organised after the conclusion of its training courses.
“Such march-pasts are common for women and men cadre and these are taken out after the conclusion of various training courses of Sangh,” the spokesperson said, adding, “We train women and men in weapon operating, self-defense, yoga, exercises, sports. Besides, we build inside them a true patriot.”
According to him, today around 77 women, trained recently in two camps of duration 15 days each along with over 120 previous years’ cadre, participated in the procession.
“Of the 77 women who were trained in two courses of RSS, 44 belong to other states”, he further said.
Today, the procession of women cadre of RSS, attired in traditional uniform of the Sangh (White Salwar-Kameez), started from Dewan Badrinath School, Mubarak Mandi Jammu at 10 A.M and after passing through major city locations including Panjtirthi, Kachi Chawni, Parade, Ranbireshwar Temple, City Chowk, Super Bazar, Purani Mandi, Link Road, Jain Bazar concluded at Mubarak Mandi again.
During the march-past, women were singing in the praise of the country. They were welcomed at several places by people who were showering flowers on the cadre.
