Mehraj ud Din Wadoo to stay with Chanayin FC

The star defender who was a revelation for the club during its successful title bid has preferred to sign new contract with the club as he terms it home away from the home.

The star defender who was a revelation for the club during its successful title bid has preferred to sign new contract with the club as he terms it home away from the home.

“I have signed new contract with Chanayin FC with whom I enjoyed title success last season. It has become home away from home for me as the atmosphere inside the club is great. In the club everyone supports each other and that is the biggest reason about its success,” Wadoo said.

Wadoo who is currently in Kashmir on a vacation after being part of Sporting Club Goa in I-League and Federation Cup had signed new contract with Chanayin FC around two months back but revealed only it few days ago.

After been termed spent force and no longer a top contender in Indian football, Wadoo last season stood rock in the defense of Chanayin FC and helped the club cruise to title victory. Not only did Wadoo perform brilliantly but was also in content ion for the top Indian footballer of the year in ISL.

“From the day I stepped into National colors and then play for top club of Country I have been facing criticism. I have always been touted as short distance bet but with my dedication and hard work I have proved all my critics wrong. I have been here, playing for top clubs of Country for almost 14 years now and has nothing to prove,” Wadoo said.
