As rumours started making the rounds in the Valley that schools might shut for a day or two in the wake of bad weather, officials made it clear that no such decision had been taken.
Director, School Education, Kashmir, Shah Faesal, said people should not pay heed to such rumours. “Please do not pay heed to rumours regarding schools being closed due to the rains. We have no plans to shut the schools as of now and classes will continue as per the routine,” he maintained.
It has been raining in the Valley from the last few days and the Weather Department has predicted that the rain will continue till Saturday.
