ABVP takes out ‘Tiranga rally’ against anti-national elementsThe Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today held a “Tiranga rally” to lodge protest against the alleged anti-national elements prevailing in varsity campuses all over the country.
The rally was taken out from the University of Jammu to Maharaja Hari Singh statue at the Tawi bridge. Around 400 ABVP activists participated in the rally wherein they took pledge for maintaining integrity of the nation.
While addressing the rally, Varsha Jandial, ABVP state secretary asked the anti-national elements to be on the right track of nationalism. “The nationalistic youth of the country is no more ready to compromise with the integrity of the nation and the anti-nationalists have only two options, either to love the country or leave the country,” Varsha said.
Other ABVP members present in the rally included Abhinav Pandotra, Ganesh Kunde, Mayur Patil, Deepak Gupta, Lokinder Singh, Kanav Sharma and Subhi Chalotra.
Kathua: Students from various schools of town took out a “Tiranga rally” under the aegis of the ABVP with a message “Nation first” here on Thursday. Ex-servicemen also took part in the rally.
Beginning from the Sheedhi Chowk , the students, carrying various placards, highlighting the “Nation first” message, covered the various roads of the town before staging a huge demonstration at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park.
Raising slogans against those speaking about dividing the country, the protesting students urged the Union Government to initiate steps to bring to book those making statements about dividing the country and those supporting anti-national activities.
ABVP state executive member Sonalika Rajput and state spokesman for the Students for Development Rahul Dev Sharma led the protest.
