PILTOF hails CM’s interest in resumption of international flights“Chief Minister has given top preference to the promotion of tourism and urging Union Government for putting Kashmir on international map of civil aviation,” said newly elected chairman of PILTOF Nasir Shah. “If this trend continues, the day is not far when we will see international flights landing in Kashmir.”
He said thousands of Kashmiris are living or working abroad.
Operation of international flights would be commercially viable for the sectors such as Malaysia, Dubai, Jeddah and will benefit locals to travel at ease,” he said.
“Most of the European operators will prefer to ad Kashmir on their itineraries.”
Piltof urged Chief Minister to ensure that international operations start from Kashmir for economic upliftment of the local tour operators.
“Chief Minister should continue urging Union Government to give top priority in funding Kashmir for promotional purpose within country and abroad. It should also rehabilitee stakeholders who faced financial losses due to floods.”
