Thousands bid farewell to Memon; Media blacks out funeral after GAG Order

Tens of thousands turned up to take part in the last journey of Yakub Memon, the Mumbai chartered accountant who was hanged in the early hours of Thursday for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Bombay blasts. However, the ubiquitous Indian media totally  blacked out the unprecedented funeral after the authorities imposed a ban on the telecast of the last rites of the condemned man at the Bada Khabrastan in the financial capital of the country.
