Inspector General of Police, Jammu, S.D. Singh today reviewed the security arrangements for opening of Chenani-Nashri tunnel, scheduled in the third week of this month. As per a police spokesperson, IG reviewed security ‘bundobust’ of tunnel and forthcoming VVIP in the town to inaugurate the mega project. “Detailed discussions were held with the officers of police and civil administration including representatives of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to ensure enhanced security measures for the safety and security of tunnel,” the spokesperson said.
