The authorities issued avalanche warning for several places in the state after moderate rain lashed the Kashmir valley on Friday. The day temperature plummeted five notches down from normal 14°C in Srinagar as higher reaches received mild snow. The army has sent out a strong warning to crowds hurling stones at security forces during anti-terror operations in Kashmir. “In case a crowd takes the law in its hands and threatens life and property, security forces will be constrained to initiate appropriate action to counter it,” said a defense spokesperson.
