Vehicle burnt for ‘Smuggling’ cattle in Lakhanpur

Enraged over the alleged smuggling of bovine animals, an unidentified mob set ablaze a Mahindra load-carrier after rescuing the cattle near Lakhanpur on Thursday. The unidentified persons also thrashed the driver and another person for allegedly smuggling bovine animals and later handed them to the police. The arrested persons have been identified as Balvinder Singh of Ludhiana and Mohammad Shakib of RS Pura, Jammu.
