Jammu 18 January: Un assembly today, Er. Rasheed accused Govt. of ignoring the most militancy hit victim district Kupwara and added that while Govt. is claiming Lardly Beti scheme as an achievement, it has forgotten the most effected district Kupwara, including Dardpora, the village of orphans. While debating on grants pertaining to Social Welfare Department Er. Rasheed strongly advocated for ending reservation to SC’s on state level and said that reservation should be given on district levels to reserved categories, based on population. Er. Rasheed added that ST population is being deprived of their genuine rights in reservation and so are physically challenged people being denied their due quota. Er. Rasheed appealed Govt. to consider granting of minority status to Sikhs and added that we should not ignore the genuine rights of Sikh community. Er. Rasheed appealed Govt. to fulfil it’s duties towards Jail return Militants and the families of deceased militants.
