The Role: Travel Consultant
As a Travel Consultant at JKL Travels, you’ll be the travel hero for our clients. You’ll leverage your expertise to guide them through every step of their travel journey, from understanding their needs and desires to crafting personalized itineraries, booking flights and accommodations, and offering expert advice and recommendations.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and desired experiences.
- Research and recommend destinations, flights, accommodations, activities, and transportation options based on client needs.
- Create customized itineraries that cater to each client’s specific interests, budget, and travel style.
- Obtain competitive quotes and secure bookings for flights, hotels, tours, and other travel components.
- Process travel documents and provide necessary pre-departure information to clients.
- Offer ongoing support to clients throughout their travel journey, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Stay up-to-date on travel trends, destinations, attractions, and visa requirements.
- Identify and leverage industry resources to optimize travel packages and pricing.
- Generate leads and contribute to the growth of JKL Travels’ client base.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, fostering strong relationships with clients and travel partners.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or a related role.
- A strong understanding of the travel industry, including destinations, airlines, accommodation options, and travel products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional research and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to negotiate competitive rates and secure the best deals for clients.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems (GDS) and other relevant travel software.
- A passion for travel and a desire to share your knowledge and expertise with others.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving client satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise travel documentation.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
