RSS is brainwashing groups of Kashmiri youth in Nagpur: Farooq Abdullah

The National Conference parliamentarian Farooq Abdullah, who was reelected as party president accused RSS of taking groups of youngsters from far flung villages of Valley to Nagpur and brainwash and train them as their agents.

Abdullah was addressing a delegate conference of the party here in Srinagar in which he was reelected as party president. “Youth are being taken to New Delhi from villages like Kupwara, and then sent to Nagpur and brainwashed and trained to become the agents of RSS. Beware of that and keep a check on any such activity in your area,” said Abdullah, in a gathering of thousands of NC delegates.

“Now orders are passed from Nagpur and not from our state assembly.” The NC parliamentarian stated that people of the state especially in
Jammu have to fight against ‘Sanghi and RSS ideology.’

“That RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav tries to be the point man on Kashmir. Mama Bana Hai Woh Kashmir Ka. Who is he? What does he know about Kashmir? Let him travel here without a bulletproof vehicle here and then talk. What is his position? We are secular and will be so and your force cannot suppress us,” said Abdullah.

He continued saying, “How many will you imprison? You think we will get scared. You cannot scare me. You can only kill me, but you can never suppress our principles. We won’t get scared.”

The former J&K chief minister lashed out at New Delhi for never respecting the sentiments and love of the people of the state and accused them of repeatedly trying to sabotage NC and its genuine demands. “Some people have been arrested for taking money from Pakistan or other parts. Nothing has been made public yet. Let me ask what about the money that has come from New Delhi to wipe out NC. Who received this money?”” Abdullah asked.

“Who installed and promoted late Mufti Muhammad Syed. Bags full of money came from the Prime Minister of India. Money was pumped in from New Delhi to counter NC and finish NC. Even today money is being pumped in from New Delhi,” he accused.

The NC leader stated that New Delhi has to strengthen article 370 to preserve the distinct identity of the state and then any dialogue would be successful. “They have appointed a former IB man for dialogue. It is the same organization which implicated Sheikh Abdullah in a false Kashmir conspiracy case,” said Abdullah. He also stated that the policies like GST and demonetization have not had the promised impact and GST compromised the fiscal autonomy of the state.

“With demonetization they claimed terrorism will end. Thank God, after demonetization terrorism increased so much that they had to put army, police and CRPF outside every house. They even locked masjids. What all will you lock down? Was demonetization is a success? Who are you fooling?” asked Abdullah.

He even dared J&K finance minister Haseeb Drabu for being instrumental in implementing GST in the state. “Drabu sahib, time is not far when you have to stand before the people’s court for your deeds. You tried to fool people but you have made a fool of yourself.”

“The day is not far when you have to stand with me and I will ask you this question. I am not going to die till the time I will get answers from you,” Abdullah.

While insisting that NC was secular party and would strive to strengthen these principles, Abdullah said, Pandits were not driven out by Kashmiri Muslims but by then Governor Jagmohan, who had assured them that he will get them back within few months, once the situation is better.

“Jagmohan Ji 28 years have passed and how many more years will it take to bring them back. One day my Bhagwan will punish you for this sin. We should be thankful to Jammu people who opened doors for Kashmiri pandits and embraced them. Jagmohan had made no arrangements other than providing transport,” said Abdullah.

The NC leader stated that the pandits have to come back and till the time of their return Kashmir is incomplete. “We want to bring them back and they are indispensable part of this culture. But, I don’t believe in this homeland theory. This is a farce. They will come and live among all of us with dignity,” he said

According to Abdullah government forces cannot protect any citizen of the state, but they have to protect each other. “I once told Kashmiri pandits in Habba Kadal that Indian Army and police won’t save you in Kashmir but a Kashmiri muslim will embrace you here. And in Jammu a muslim will be saved and sheltered by Hindus and Sikhs and not by the Indian Army. I was accused of scaring them but today they would realize that I saying right thing. What all will I lament on?” he said.
