Six Dead, Nine injured in road accident in Puneja district Doda

Six passengers have be killed and nine injured as the tempo, in which they were travelling, plunged into a gorge in district Doda on Friday.

With two more persons succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll to six in a road accident in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
Earlier, four persons were killed when a taxi carrying fifteen persons, including the driver, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Puneja village of Tehsil Chiralla in Doda district.

Eleven persons had sustained injuries in the accident, said SDPO Bhadarwah.
“Later, two more injured persons succumbed to their injuries at DH Doda, taking death toll to six,” he said.
The deceased were identified as Mohd Yousaf Khan (80) Son of Wali Khan resident of Sunar Thawaha, Om Prakash (30) Son of Vidya Lal Resident of Bankhan Thawaha, Fazal Din Son of Roshan Din resident of Jandani, Punjab Singh Son of Khazan Chand Resident of Bonjwah, Rajeshwar Singh 45 Son of Bhuda Singh Resident of Ranka and one is still unidentified.

Three seriously injured persons, Pardeep Singh, Vansh Sharma and Kritika Sharma, were shifted to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
