BJP Leader meets Modi, seeks peace initiative to end cross border shelling

The Jammu and Kashmir BJP has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi start peace initiative to end Border shelling, : which has made life of border residents miserable”.
A press release claimed that Eshfaq-ur-rehman Poswal, BJP Leader on Monday discussed prevailing Security Situation in J&K with Prime Minister in Parliament.
Poswal also discussed escalation in cross border tension between the two countries with the Prime Minister. “The situation in J&K has improved but Pakistan backed Militants are making all attempts to disrupt peace and security in the region” he told PM.
He stressed on the need ‘to push the youth from state away from violence and vicious cycle of militancy which is spreading fast mostly in South Kashmir.’
“The life of border residents including in Karnah Constituency of Kupwara has become miserable due to infiltration attempts and cross LOC shelling by the Pakistan Army at regular intervals. Peace initiative must be taken to restore the sanctity of LOC and put a check on ceasefire violation by Pakistan; necessary measures must be taken to rehabilitate the affected border residents who have been rendered homeless and sleepless due to frequent shelling by Pakistan army” he said.
“The Prime Minister lend a patient ear to Poswal and assured him of appropriate action to provide relief to the affected border residents including Poonch & Rajori district, the worst affected by the shelling” the press release claimed.
