NC misleading people for own political gains: PDP

NC misleading people for own political gains - PDPThe Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today lashed out at its arch-rival National Conference (NC), saying it was “misleading the people systematically and exhibiting political wickedness by viciously attacking the PDP”.
On Monday, the NC hit out at PDP president Mehbooba Mufti by alleging that she could not escape responsibility for the party’s “sellout to the BJP and its complete failure for its 10-month-long tenure”.
PDP general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir today taunted the NC and alleged that it had failed to provide any relief to the people in the six years of its “chaotic rule”.
Mir said despite having the full support of the Centre and the alliance partner, Congress, Omar Abdullah could not achieve anything for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The NC has been criticising the PDP for delaying government formation.
The senior PDP leader said it was inevitable to have a common minimum programme in any coalition.
“In the absence of any such agenda, the only aim of a person becomes to be the Chief Minister for the sake of it. The PDP does not want to repeat Omar Abdullah where a closed-door deal was concluded with the Congress in half an hour in December 2008, with just one condition that he will be the Chief Minister for six years,” he said.
“Today, Mehbooba Mufti has shown political maturity and it is her immense desire and vision of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to empower the state and restore its prestige glory but the National Conference is misleading the people for its own political gains without even introspecting what disservice the party had done to the state and its inhabitants,” he said.
