‘When out of power, they rake up issues of autonomy, talks’All Parties Hurriyet Conference has hit out at pro-India National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah for playing vote bank politics over issues of autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir and talks Pakistan-India talks.

APHC Spokesperson Ayaz Akbar in a statement issued in Srinagar, “Whenever National Conference is out of power they suddenly start remembering the autonomy and talking about the friendship with Pakistan. But when they are in government, they not only hate talks but also suggest India to attack Azad Kashmir and occupy it.”

“This kind of politics of the NC has now become outdated and barring some of its party activists nobody else is taking them seriously. We advise the NC leaders to fear Almighty Allah and show some remorse. Had they been a bit sincere and honest in their claims with regarding to the autonomy, it would have been restored long time ago,” he added.

“As they are out of power today, they are raising slogans of autonomy. They once again want to befool the people of by their sweet-talks and they don’t feel ashamed by doing so again and again. And they do not consider it wrong,” he pointed out.

Hurriyet spokesperson termed the statement of Andhra Pradesh MP Varaprasad Rao on Kashmir in Parliament as open expression of the reality.

“The voices raised in the Indian parliament after the JNU and other Indian universities is a clear proof of this fact that the Indian people are gradually understanding the reality of Kashmir and they are differencing with the Kashmir policies of their rulers. It is a very pleasing and encouraging for the Kashmiri people and it has added a new life to the freedom sentiments of Kashmiris,” Akbar added.
