With the traditional four-day mourning over, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti today ran a full-page advertisement in local newspapers, thanking people for showing solidarity in grief and faith in Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s leadership.
“The demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is a tragedy for all of us. But the way you all shared our grief and expressed solidarity with us in this difficult hour shows your faith in Mufti Saheb. It is encouraging and we respect it,” Mehbooba said in an Urdu advertisement issued in various local dailies today.
She expressed her gratitude to the countless men and women who had visited the Fairview residence of the Muftis in Srinagar to offer their condolences.
