JKSSB issues notification for 3000 jobs
The Jammu region has once again managed to bag a lions share in the recently issued job notifications by the Government. This despite the fact the both the population as well as unemployment are higher in Kashmir than Jammu.
The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) recently advertised two notifications in local dallies on August 10 and September 3 this year, inviting application forms for the various posts in different departments under notice numbers 04 of 2015 and 06 of 2015.
The posts include junior supervisor, Accounts assistant, assistant compiler, compiler, Jr. Stenographer, Junior assistant, Forest Guard, junior pharmacist, Dental technician, Junior Physiotherapist, junior sanitary inspector, junior instructor carper and many more.
The JKSSB authorities according to the two notices have sanctioned near 3000 posts for various departments. “In first notification, under no. 04 of 2015, Jammu region has got 81 posts extra than Kashmir while in another notification under no. 06 of 2015, the region has got 483 posts extra than Kashmir,” two notices reveal.
Out of total sanctioned 3066 posts, Jammu region has secured 1815 posts while only 1251 have been approved for the educated unemployed youth of Kashmir region.
The posts according to the notice are for the degree holders who have passed Matric, intermediate 12, under graduate, graduate, and post- graduation.
Talking to us, Junaid Sidique, who has passed the masters in English said, these two notices are the glorious example of discrimination with the educated unemployed youth of Kashmir. “There is no respite from the unemployment since the years. We belong to poor family and can’t even afford to do our own business. The educated youth of Kashmir have been left in lurch,” Sidique said.
“There seems no end in the discrimination to us. Every successive regime seems abuzz with sucking our blood. There were tall claims from everywhere during the recently held assembly polls but unfortunately the politicians were rubbing the salt on our wounds. We won’t tolerate it anymore if the same would happen again we will come on roads to stage protest against the state administration,” Another educated youth said, adding that their parents have spent a huge amount on their education how come will they tolerate this discrimination.
Former chairman of Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industries and civil society member, Shakil Qalandar has blamed the Ministers for discriminating the educated unemployed youth of Kashmir and said that the Ministers of Jammu have always ensured to provide all benefits to inhabitants of Jammu while ignoring Kashmiris.
Pertinently, since last six years, more than six lakh unemployed youth have registered themselves in various district employment exchanges. According to the latest economic survey, “There are more than three lakh fifty thousand unemployed youth in Kashmir while in Jammu province three lac stand unemployed.”
The survey revealed that the number of unemployed youth in Kashmir is more than unemployed youth in Jammu.
