The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that there will be no third party intervention on the Kashmir issue after Pakistan once again raised the Kashmir issue at the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) ahead of NSA-level talks.
Hitting back at Pakistan, BJP spokesperson Siddharthnath Singh said, “Anything provocative that Pakistan is raising in UNO is related to their domestic constituency, and as far as the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is concerned, the answer is known to everyone that it`s a bilateral talk and there is no space for the third party.”
Singh pointed out that Government of India had signed the joint statements with Pakistan in UFA for bilateral talks, saying “The roadmap is very clear for the meeting, the operational level talks between NSA BSF and DGMO needs to take place.”
Pakistan raised the Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council, seeking mediation from the world body and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to resolve the issue before the NSA-level talks in New Delhi.
