Eleven killed as avalanches strike parts of Kashmir Valley

At least 11 people have died in snow avalanches across Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24-hours, including seven in a massive one that buried a police post near Jawahar Tunnel in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Friday. Seven dead, several injured in Reasi road accident

Seven persons including two minors died and three others were injured in a road accident in Reasi district of Jammu late last night. An official said an overloaded car, bearing registration number JK02H 1515 skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Damasgali Bhomag last night, leaving seven persons dead and three others injured. He said the car carrying bharatis was heading towards Chourakote from Sujandhar when the accident took place. The injured, he said, were shifted to GMC&H Jammu.
